These hits are unlabeled. The studio knows a kick from a snare.

VstChop's engine categorizes one-shots โ€” kick, snare, hat, perc โ€” and names them by key and character. Sign up and run the whole song: 3 full packs free.

Frequently asked questions

How do I make a drum kit from a song?

Load the track and slice โ€” the transient detector finds the hits. Audition each slice on the pad grid, un-check anything mushy, and export: every kept slice becomes a numbered WAV in one ZIP, trimmed tight and faded clean at both ends.

What songs make the best kits?

Dry, punchy material: drum breaks, solo percussion sections, intros before the mix thickens. Dense walls of sound produce slices with too much bleed to use as one-shots โ€” that's where the studio's stem separation changes the game.

Are the slices trimmed and cleaned?

Yes โ€” each slice starts at a zero crossing with a 3 ms fade-in and ends with a 30 ms fade-out, the classic one-shot treatment. They drop into any sampler without clicks.

How is this different from the SongChop chopper?

Same slicing heart, different destination: SongChop's tool is built for grabbing musical phrases; this one is tuned for isolating HITS and packaging them as a kit โ€” shorter slices, tighter fades, kit-style naming.
